About HVS Image
HVS Image were the original inventors of video tracking for Morris Water Maze in 1983 and enabled Professor Richard G. Morris FRS seminal paper on Water Maze in 1984 which created the field of Water Maze following his earlier less refined measurements in the early 80s show that lesions of the hippocampus impaired spatial learning. Water maze has since replaced the old fashioned "rat in a maze" paradigm as being the way that scientists seeking treatments for neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease understand whether their theories are reflected in the real world and whether theoretical treatment actually work. It is also a major tool in understanding the meaning of gene expression in terms of how it actually affect brain function. Since HVS Image moved the field forward with video tracking, over 1000 Scientists have published using use HVS Image's Morris Water Maze, Plus Maze, Barnes Maze and Open Field Acquisition Virtual Maze and Analysis Software. The company leads not only in having cutting edge development, but also in maintaining open standards, backwards compatibility with data as well as developing and offering many of the new analysis techniques that have become standards in the field.
