About Hyde Sheet Metal

At the turn of the 20th century, David J. Hyde, the son of Irish immigrants, started a heating and sheet metal business in the garage of his north St. Louis home. He established a tradition of craftsmanship and service that is carried on today by his grandson, James B. Hyde, Jr. Originally established as a residential contractor installing coal fired furnaces, gutters, downspouts, and cornices, Hyde Sheet Metal has evolved into a full service architectural sheet metal contractor serving commercial, institutional, governmental and residential clients throughout the St. Louis Area, Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. Hyde Sheet Metal has proudly employed members of Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 for over 75 years, and is an active member of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA).
