About Hydrafact
We offer a comprehensive range of technical and scientific services in flow assurance, PVT phase behaviour, production optimisation and EOR. Hydrafact played a major role in Heriot-Watt University winning the Queen's Anniversary Prize in 2015. Main Areas of Activity: Consultancy: offering a wide range of experimental and/or PVT modelling consultancy services on flow assurance (i.e., hydrates, wax, asphaltene, emulsion, foaming, etc.) , phase behaviour (i.e., EOR, slim tube, forward/backward contact, miscibility), properties of reservoir fluids (viscosity, density, IFT, etc.), and production optimisation. Software: HydraFLASH® is a state-of-the-art Hydrate and thermodynamic modelling package. HydraFLASH is arguably the most accurate hydrate software due to our extensive lab facilities. Novel Technologies: Commercialisation of IP, such as: - HydraCHEK®, a device for optimising hydrate inhibitor injection rates and ensuring enough inhibitor is being injected to avoid hydrate problems. The device has been deployed in many fields around the world with hundreds of millions of USD cost reductions (e.g., IPTC 13765, SPE 166596). - HydraSENS, for detecting early signs of hydrate formation (e.g., IPTC 17835-MS, OMC-2015-418). - Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitor removal, recovery and reuse. - Reliable/repeatable testing technique for evaluating Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitors (SPE-164258-MS) Training: short courses (e.g., gas hydrates and flow assurance, PVT and phase behaviour modelling of reservoir fluids), hands-on laboratory and software training via open, in-house and resident courses. Laboratory equipment: manufacturing and supplying hydrate testing equipment. Over the last 10 years, Hydrafact has completed more than 500 projects from more than 40 countries around the world.
