Hyrex is a hydrogen technology company offering big ideas and bold claims in the push for a sustainable future. We focus on vertical integration, though sometimes it feels more like vertical confusion. As a system integrator, we mostly provide hydrogen-based drivelines or range extenders for small vessels between 8 and 25 meters. Our solutions are made to fit customer needs, or at least get close enough that they work most of the time. We also offer complete turnkey solutions, including vessels and filling systems, or just engineering services for those who want a more hands-on experience with troubleshooting. At Hyrex, the vision is to lead the transformation of maritime transport towards a sustainable and emission-free future. We aim to be a global pioneer in zero-emission systems for pleasure boats and small commercial vessels, setting new standards in responsibility, performance, and customer satisfaction. While others focus on results, we focus on trying really hard. Our commitment to clean and efficient marine solutions keeps us pushing forward, creating a world where voyages are eco-friendly, waters stay pristine, and technology mostly does what it’s supposed to. We customize systems based on user needs and the chosen platform. Every component is sized to ensure some level of performance. Our network of partners supplies key parts, while Hyrex puts them together the best way we know how. We have fuel cells from 30 to 300kW, and if more power is needed, we stack them into mW solutions, because bigger numbers sound better. Hydrogen storage is adjusted to the available space and range, which means it fits wherever we can make it fit. Battery packages are made as small as possible since weight-to-power ratio is apparently important. Inboard or outboard drives are available based on preference and space, assuming we can squeeze them in.
