About I'm a Boomer, Baby!
"I'm a Boomer, Baby!" is an energetic one-man multimedia musical theatrical show about and for Baby Boomers. Starring singer-impressionist-comedian and multi-instrumentalist Dan Riley, the show recounts Dan's love for and experiences with the music and fun of the Baby Boomer Era. This fun-filled family-friendly romp through the 50s and 60s covers all the bases while hitting a home run with audiences of all ages. Set in a re-creation of Dan's childhood family rec room, the memories begin with Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis and travel through times and trends all the way to the Beatles and Woodstock. Comic highlights of the show include Dan's hilarious take on the Doo Wop groups, his loving "tribute" to the King, his side-splitting rendition of "La Bamba", and his kindhearted jabs at the aging stars - and fans - of the era. Musical highlights include an impressive surf guitar medley ending with Dan's drumming on "Wipeout", his touching tribute to the Beatles, his guitar virtuosity on "Classical Gas" as hundreds of album covers flash by on the screen, and most impressively his stunningly spot-on impressions of great voices of the era - most notably the show-stopping Roy Orbison segment.
