About (i)nstitute

(i)nstitute is a research-led incubator operating at the intersection of art, culture, and critical thought. We conceptualise, support, and publish projects that explore the social functions of aesthetics and the transformative potential of creative practice. Founded as a platform for intellectual inquiry and cultural production, (i)nstitute champions the arts as a method of education, a site of community-building, and a tool for amplifying marginalized voices. We position art as central to reimagining and reshaping society. Our work spans research, consulting, and incubation. Through our in-house companies—uniform, a design studio; departement, a record label; and vida christie’s, an ethereal market and library—we create a living archive of socially engaged artistic research and experimentation. In parallel, (i)nstitute partners with institutions and global brands on tastemaking, cultural strategy, and narrative direction. Past collaborators include Hennessy and Havana Club, among others—projects through which we apply our ethos to commercial and cultural terrains alike.
