About I Paid It Forward

Our sole purpose is to change the lives of children through the gift of shoes. I Paid It Forward empowers children to share kindness with each other, their families and strangers through the gift of shoes. I Paid It Forward receives anonymous nominations for Pay It Forward ambassadors in schools all over the Camas and Vancouver area. We also seek out schools to take part in as well. We give our "Kindness Ambassadors" a brand new pair of shoes to wear, in return, each child agrees to pay this kindness forward. They are tasked to go find someone else that may be in need of a new pair of shoes, or maybe someone just needs a hand up, or maybe they find someone they love they want to share their kindness with. It isn't just about need, but we all need something or someone at some point. The children are given Kindness Cards with instructions on them for the person that receives it. That person then sends an email to us with their name, school, shoe size and grade and we show up at their school and fit them into a new pair of kicks! The kids are responsible to keep the kindness moving - that is what is important. Getting involved in their schools, communities, in giving. That is where we feel it is at!
