About I Want Tutoring!

IWantTutoring.com is a website designed with the purpose of connecting students looking for tutors, and tutors looking for students. In my 25 years of tutoring, I found two things to be true. 1) Not enough people in the world knew they could make a living as a private tutor. 2) Not enough people in the world knew how to find a private tutor. With those two ideas in mind, I set out to create IWantTutoring.com. A website designed to connect students anywhere with tutors everywhere. I found that many websites think of this relationship as a one way street. A tutor posts there information, and a student finds them through that post. However, I thought that creating a two way street could help out both the student and the tutor. IWantTutoring.com allows students to post their tutoring requests, and for tutors to find the students through those postings as well. There are a lot of missed opportunities for students and tutors because students only believe there are tutors for what they see posted, and tutors only believe that students want what they have posted. In my experience once a student has a quality tutoring experience, they will continue to look for more of those experiences in all their classes. Tutoring is not just for students who are struggling in a course, in fact, tutoring can be at its best when a student is getting expert knowledge and insight from a tutor in a subject they are actually excited about.
