About IAH Studio
IAH Studio is a vibrant home for educational, cultural and artistic programming and pedagogy, putting string musicians of color at the forefront. Founded upon core values of quality and accessible music education, cultural representation, and wellness – IAH Studio works to address the need for diversity and visual representation in the string music industry while providing an equitable and sustainable platform for professional BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) string musicians. What started as a private music studio based in the South Bronx, New York City, has quickly developed into a multi-functioning social enterprise and lifestyle brand dedicated to increasing opportunities for learning and participating in string music as well as amplifying the number of events, programs, and paid opportunities and exposure for professional musicians of color. IAH Studio aims to create a safe space, particularly for Black and Latinx string musicians -- generating avenues of support and visibility. Through lessons and other educational programs, documenting projects, workshops, events and products, we respond to community needs, produce environments for generational success and serve as a catalyst for transformative conversation and cultural empowerment
