About Iðan fræðslusetur
IDAN’s Vocational Education and Training Centre ehf. was formed by the merger of four educational centres from industry and tourism in the Spring of 2006. At the end of 2006 the Automotive Trade Education and Training Centre joined the group. The owners of IDAN are: The Federation of Icelandic Industries, Samidn, MATVIS, the Association of Book Makers, FIT, VM, the Automotive Trades Association, the Icelandic Travel Industry Association and the Association of Master Builders. The role of IDAN is primarily to improve the ability of companies and employees in the automobile, construction and metal industries and the printing, food and restaurant industries.
