About IATDG (International Association of Tour Directors and Guides)
The International Association of Tour Directors and Guides (IATDG) is the professional organization for trained and experienced tour directors and guides worldwide. IATDG was formed by Tour Directors, Tour Operators, and Tour Guides with the common interests of: -Bridging the gap between the talent and expertise offered by tour managers and the unmet needs of tour operators. -Ensuring the highest level of professional proficiency, behavior, and accountability among tour directors and guides. -Improved access to and promotion of professional tour directors and guides. Our primary aim is to support tour managers by providing adequate training, education, and exposure to opportunities. Likewise, we support tour operators by providing them accountability for and access to these highly qualified professionals. We are currently working to support our tour company members by recruiting those who would like to get started in the position of leading group tours.
