ABOUT US At iCaddies, we strive to speak to our statement of "UPLIFTING THE SA CADDIE INDUSTRY", and for us, this means a long-term, sustainable program which ensures a positive change. iCaddies intention is to enhance the caddie offering and make it as consistent as possible across all golf clubs in South Africa. Through the iCaddies program, we identify the caddie squad's shortfalls and inconsistencies, working through them individually and as a squad. Once management structures and the training program are in place, the caddies' skill set and overall offering is enhanced, ultimately narrowing the gap between the professional club caddie and the entry-level bag carrier. While we have made some great strides within the caddie industry in our first two years of existence, we have many more lives to impact. Our long-term approach and the sustainable program will ultimately change the South African caddie industry for generations. HOW DO WE GENERATE REVENUE It is paramount that we speak to our statement of “UPLIFTING THE SA CADDIE INDUSTRY” and for us taking a cut from the caddies fee, however small a percentage, was never an option. For iCaddies to operate, we rely on selling advertising on bibs with the specific club benefits for the caddie generated through various fundraising initiatives and sponsorships. iCaddies manage the caddie squad on the club's behalf as an outsourced partner, looking after the day-to-day operation of the caddies with a strong focus on the life-impacting benefits of the caddie. By empowering the caddies with the opportunity to offer a consistently professional service, they are able to increase their revenue and ultimately provide for their families and loved ones.
