About ICDR International

is a leading advocacy, litigation, and public service non-profit with mission to promote civil rights and non-discriminatory legal frameworks to eliminate Caste, Race, Ancestry or national origin and Descent-based Discrimination (CRAND), inequality and injustice in the USA and internationally. ICDR collaborates, networks, and provides technical support for its associates, civil society, NGOs, relevant government agencies, diaspora and international community. We investigate, expose discrimination, educate and mobilize the public, provide pro-bono legal and community services, and campaign to leverage for changes in policy and transform societies. We understand how exclusion and discrimination based on caste/descent, race, origin, hate crimes and gender can have a multiple impact on underprivileged marginalized and Dalit people, and our efforts focus governments and communities to eradicate such attitudes. ICDR International has over 10 years experience of working with diverse underprivileged, marginalized and Dalits people at all levels. ICDR also provides a global platform to diverse organizations, along with diaspora community to exchange the best practices and explore solutions that promote dignity, justice and equality for all around the world. ICDR is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-governmental organization in the U.S. with an international governing council, board of directors and advisory committee. Its staff consists of professionals including lawyers, development practitioners, policymakers, advocates, country experts, journalists, and academics of diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
