About Ice Business

Our history goes back to 1949, when my grandfather Hermann Scherrieble founded the company „Walhalla cooling“ in Regensburg. As pioneers of ice rink technology, we established ourselves in the ice rink industry in 1992 by building the first artificial outdoor ice rink in Zermatt, Switzerland. The decision to focus on the construction of mobile and permanent ice rinks was made in 2000 and Ice Business was founded. Since then we have fascinated countless people with our successfully implemented individual concepts and ice projects of all kinds - Worldwide. Thereby we always kept our environment in mind. We have continued to develop cooling technology further and are proud to achieve a unique level of energy efficiency in our ice rinks today by integrating automated and smart online controls. Refrigeration technology has always been and will remain a part of our company’s DNA, ice sports our motivation and corporate culture.
