Our team of experts is passionate about ensuring that our customers around the world experience the best of Icelandic quality and service with every order and shipment. We supply sustainable wild-caught and farm-raised seafood from Iceland that is MSC and ASC-certified. Iceland’s Wild Fisheries are amongst the best managed in the world and the nutrient-rich coastline and geo-thermal waters are spawning a rapidly growing aquaculture industry too. IceMar and its owner New England Seafood take its obligation to protect our oceans and to respect and maximise the value of every fish harvested very seriously. We play a very active role in driving continuous improvement on a wide-ranging series of sustainability, social and environmental subjects. IceMar’s founder, CEO and co-owner, started his career as a fisherman at the young age of 15. He worked on board several Icelandic long liners and trawlers for ten years, learning the craft and the business from the inside. Gunnar comes from a family like many others in Iceland that have lived from what the surrounding waters have provided. We work with customers globally who value having a true partner in Iceland to represent their interests on our small but rich and diverse Island. In providing a wide range of wild and farm-raised species tailored to our customer’s needs, we are far more than just a trader.
