About ICN Cultural Production
Indonesian Culture Night (ICN) Cultural Production is an arts and cultural event initiated by the Indonesian students of Nanyang Technological University (PINTU). Since its humble beginnings in 2007, it has grown into a professional student-run musical production that brings fresh perspectives on Indonesian folklore and history to the Singapore community. It serves as a platform to encourage cross-cultural understanding, nurture the talents of its committee members, and showcase appreciation for Indonesia’s culture. Through original musicals, ICN continues to present the best of Indonesian arts, history, and culture to audiences in Singapore. To date, ICN has staged 14 productions and welcomed over 11,000 attendees. This year, ICN returns with ICN 2026, a story set in the batik markets of 1970s Indonesia, weaving together questions of love, ambition, and social justice. Like every ICN before, it offers a fresh lens on Indonesian culture — one that compels the audience to revisit and reimagine their understanding of it.
