About ID Architecture

The story of ID Architecture is rooted in a passion for designing spaces that enrich the lives of those who inhabit them. Founded by Ilaisa Tabukovu, a seasoned architectural professional with over 10 years of industry experience, our company has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving business that serves clients across the South Island. Ilaisa’s journey in the architectural industry began with sole-trading work and expanded to include stints at larger architectural companies. In 2018, he established his own company with partners in North Canterbury, focusing on residential architectural design. In 2021, Ilaisa decided to bring his focus back to his family and permanently relocate his new business to Selwyn. Here, ID Architecture was born. After running out of home office space, ID Architecture has since moved into a purpose-built office where we continue to serve our clients with passion and dedication. We’re proud of our diversity too: we have Fijian, English, South African, Samoan, Filipino, and New Zealand nationalities all represented in our office. We’ve also formed connections with similar architectural companies to complete projects on their behalf during busy times, providing support within our industry during difficult times, such as during the COVID-19 lockdowns which greatly impacted the construction industry. In the last two years, we have since completed projects across the South Island, and we look forward to continuing our mission of designing inspiring spaces for our clients.
