About ID Civils Design
ID Civils Design was formed in 2010 and specialise in the engineering design of residential sites for developers large and small. We work with many national and regional developers, planning consultants and landowners from the initial stages of site allocation or land bid, through to development of the detailed engineering design solution. By being a specialist consultant we have a thorough understanding of the housing development process, enabling cost effective, practical solutions to challenging sites. ID Civils client base includes Taylor Wimpey, Keepmoat, Persimmon, Linden, Barratt and Bellway, amongst the national developers along with a host of smaller regional developers in the Yorkshire and North East regions. We also work closely with a number of planning consultants on initial allocation and outline planning applications for development sites on behalf of landowners and developers. With development ranging from 6 plots to 600 we cover the North East and North/West/South Yorkshire regions from Northumberland to Sheffield. We are involved in initial work on some large scale allocations and emerging development areas of cc3000 dwellings, which will come to market in the future. The Directors of ID Civils have a combined total of over 90 year experience in the sector, working both for national developer’s in house teams and as consultants. This enables ID to recognise the particular challenges and pressures of the residential sector and provide a service to meet those challenges. Our work typically involves initial development constraints reviews, Engineering Feasibility Design at Land bid stage, or where developers are trying to identify abnormal costs. We continue through to detailed section 104, section 38 and 278 design. We also undertake Flood Risk Assessment and SUDS/Drainage Strategy work for developers and planning consultants and have a proven record of major development across the region.
