About id-Geo

id-Geo is a consulting firm that specializes in universal access to the built and outdoor environment and services. It has been operating since 2011. Its three founding members - one of whom lives with a disability - share long-standing experience in the field of disability studies and come from different academic backgrounds (geography, statistics, social sciences, health economics, physics and pedagogy). Our expertise and services range from access audits, expert counsel, training and awareness courses to the creation and implementation of universal access products. Access audits provide a complete overview of the accessibility level of existing buildings and infrastructures in relation to universal design standards. They include an appraisal of constraints and feasibility from a technical and financial perspective and put an order of priority on necessary transformations. We provide expert counsel on a broad range of issues, such as building and renovation projects, services, and service specifications. Our training and awareness courses focus on universal design as well as support and communication with people with disabilities. The courses conflate theoretical and practical aspects and ensure participants benefit from the lived experiences of people with disabilities.
