For over thirty years, electronic music has evolved from an underground movement into one of the most popular music genres worldwide—with ID&T as one of its first pioneers. In the early 1990s, as electronic music exploded across Europe, Dutch dance culture was rapidly rising. Three friends, Irfan van Ewijk, Duncan Stutterheim, and Theo Lelie, decided to bring their vision to life. In 1992, they launched their first large-scale event, The Final Exam, attracting over 10,000 attendees. What started as small parties in the Netherlands grew into a global legacy, making ID&T the world’s leading electronic music entertainment company. Today, ID&T organizes around 70 events annually, attracting over 2 million visitors. Our portfolio includes renowned festivals such as Mysteryland, DGTL, Amsterdam Open Air, Thunderdome, Defqon.1 Weekend Festival, Awakenings, Decibel Outdoor, Masters of Hardcore, and Vunzige Deuntjes.
