About IDEA Advocacy Group

The IDEA Advocacy Group was formed to be an active social advocate for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility – to drive new IDEAs and reinvent team and corporate cultures. OUR MISSION Eliminate inequities and discrimination as we believe that people are the strength in every organization, and every team. OUR VISION Ensure every player/team member knows they are valued, they matter and they belong. Demonstrate the power of inclusion and belonging through education. Be an active advocate and voice for victims of maltreatment and discrimination. Build a coalition of allies who will work together to reinvent what it means to feel safe within a team or organization. OUR VALUES Inclusion is ensuring all individuals are equally supported, safe, respected, and valued. Diversity recognizes that each individual is unique and promotes individual differences as a valued asset, including: ethnicity, disability, gender (identity, expression), sexual orientation, background (socio-economic status, immigration status or class), civil or marital status, religion or belief, family obligations (i.e., pregnancy), or age. Equity is the fair treatment and access to equal opportunity that allows for the full potential and advancement of all peoples. Accessibility is the flexibility to accommodate needs and preferences, and refers to the design of products, environments, services, or devices, for people who experience disabilities.
