In 1971, Sam Rosenblum left his job as a financial advisor. With the help of his wife, Maureen, in the spare bedroom of their Memphis home, he began his own advertising specialties company and called it “Ideas Unlimited.” Sam was dedicated to his family and his customers, and those who knew him admired his integrity; he was a man committed to doing the right thing, whose inspired ideas and passion for people made him a natural salesman. He understood that--in a world where folks will bend over backwards to avoid advertisements--branded merchandise added value to people's lives, touched all five senses, and could be the vehicle for a memorable experience. He believed the right product, at the right time, at the right price, could literally change someone's life. Ideas Unlimited quickly outgrew the spare bedroom of 5744 Rich Road, and the relationships Sam started with supplier and client partners in our company's early years continued to flourish. Today, eighty percent of our revenue comes from partners who've been with us for 30+ years, who've grown to become industry-leading non-profits and Fortune 50 companies with recognizable brands admired the world over. Together with Maureen and later with their children Rick and Randa, Sam worked tirelessly to understand his partners’ needs and deliver superior marketing solutions until his passing in 2012. He never wavered from his commitment to each customer or his belief that a person’s reputation was their most valuable asset. In 2008, Randa purchased the company from her father and Ideas Unlimited became a 100% woman-owned business. As we approach our 50th year, Sam’s legacy continues to enliven fresh ideas, superior service, and uncompromising integrity at Ideas Unlimited.
