About IEEE Student Branch at UC Davis
IEEE at UC Davis is a professional student-run organization on the University of California, Davis campus. We greatly value the ability to provide student engineers with the opportunity to gain practical, technical, and career-related skill sets beyond their academic curriculum, as well as to develop their professional skills in organization, teamwork, leadership, etc. During the academic school year, we host a variety of events outside of our general meetings. These include info sessions and TechTalks with industry representatives, Pizza with a Professor, resume/interview workshops, etc. We also hold a series of technical workshops ranging in levels of expertise where students are able to learn and/or refine relevant electrical engineering skills such as soldering, prototyping, etc. Furthermore, IEEE at UC Davis hosts several long-term academic projects in various field concentrations, allowing students to gain applicable, hands-on project experience working alongside their engineering peers. We strive to provide an academically-stimulating and supportive environment for the engineers at UC Davis, as well as to give back to the broader STEM community through outreach events and our innovations.
