About IEU Debate Club
IEU Debate club is a platform with over 1,500+ student members for opinion sharing and development of soft and hard skills necessary to succeed in debate, negotiations and everyday life. The club allows students and alumni to network and collectively expand their knowledge of global issues and gain a better understanding of international affairs. Most importantly, the events and training the club hosts target the development of critical thinking, negotiation, public speaking skills, among others. The club provides a range of different events throughout the year, including formal/informal debates, team building activities, conferences with prominent speakers, mock debates, debate conferences such as IEUMUN (ieumun.com). Additionally, the club hosts a yearly coaching program with a professional instructor that aims to prepare members to be exceptional debaters, leaders and negotiators. Moreover, the club members have the opportunity to obtain sponsorship to participate in different international debate conferences as part of the club's delegation. Past conferences include MUN conferences in Boston, London, Geneva, Leiden, Madrid; and BP competitions in Malaga.
