About IfP-South Sudan
Initiative for Peace – South Sudan (IFP-SSD) is a youth-led program rooted in the belief that peace begins with understanding and is sustained through unity. Born from a nation scarred by conflict, IFP-SSD stands at the intersection of education, cultural exchange, and dialogue, empowering young South Sudanese to become the architects of a peaceful future. Our mission is to foster peace and reconciliation by bringing together youth from across all 64 tribes through leadership development, education, and meaningful cross-cultural experiences. We believe that by investing in young people and breaking tribal barriers, we can build a united South Sudan; one leader, one story, one community at a time. We: 🔹 Organize Peace Cultural Days celebrating diversity through dance, poetry, and storytelling 🔹 Run peacebuilding workshops on conflict resolution, dialogue, and intercultural understanding 🔹 Offer a scholarship program that sends selected youth to universities in Rwanda to live, study, and grow together 🔹 Create spaces for youth-led conversations and community-driven peace projects Our vision is a South Sudan where young people are not just shaped by peace but are the ones shaping it. This is not just a program, it is going to be a movement. A movement to replace division with dialogue, fear with understanding, and pain with purpose. Because South Sudan deserves not just peace but a generation ready to protect it.
