About IGO Insurance Agency

The IGO Insurance Agency was founded in June 1970 by the Independent Garage Owners of NC to provide insurance services to the automotive repair industry. At that time, there were few insurance carriers providing specialized coverage of this nature. IGO was very instrumental in developing programs and unique coverages that were tailored for the automotive industry. In the early 2000's, the agency began to break out of the one carrier mold and began adding additional carriers to its agency representation. This direction was important for the agency to become a more full lines agency to address the needs of a variety of clients. Today, IGO represents over 15 different carriers with a variety client interests. In October 2013, the IGO Insurance Agency was purchased by Jimmie Robertson who had been the Chief Operating Officer for 15 years prior. As the agency continues into the future, the goal will be to offer comprehensive coverage, at competitive prices, through quality insurance markets, backed by superior customer service.
