Persia Film is pleased to present the Iranian International Films Festival in Canada. The main objective of this Festival is to showcase the work of young Iranian directors, who wants to have their voices heard through art in general and films in particular. This event is one of the largest cultural events of its kind. The Festival will introduce Canadian audiences to the richness and diversity of films made by young Iranian filmmakers. The main objective of the festival is creating opportunities for the skilful and young Iranian filmmakers who, without reasonable access to equipment, latest technology and internet have been successful in winning a number of prestigious awards. Over the past three years more than 300 films have been made by professional young filmmakers (Vs. amateur filmmakers) and submitted to the Festival’s Administration Committee. All of the films have English subtitles and are categorized in different genres such as documentary, fiction, animation, experimental, etc. The Festival is competitive and the Jury Committee, which is comprised of some of the strongest Iranian cinematologists, producers, directors and actors, will be involved in the Festival. The “Golden Prizes” will be awarded to various categories of the films.
