Wir wollen möglichst viele Menschen für Wissenschaft begeistern. Um Begeisterung zu wecken, muss Wissenschaft verständlich kommuniziert werden. Daher wurde das IISC von einem Team mit langjähriger Erfahrung in Wissenschaftskommunikation und Wissenschaftsjournalismus gegründet. Unsere Aktivitäten richten sich an alle, die Wissenschaft verständlich kommunizieren möchten, egal ob aus Forschung und Wissenschaft, Wissenschaftskommunikation oder Wissenschaftsjournalismus. Wir vermitteln das Handwerk der Wissenschaftskommunikation in Seminaren und Veranstaltungen. Wir dokumentieren besonders gelungene Beispiele, analysieren in Studien und Umfragen den Stand der Wissenschaftskommunikation und entwickeln Unterrichts- und Trainingsunterlagen – off- und online, in Print, als Podcasts, Grafiken oder Animationsvideos. Wer Wissenschaft kommunizieren will, kann uns auch als Beraterinnen und Berater beauftragen. Die Ergebnisse unserer Analysen setzen wir auch gerne um.
