About IKT - Institute for Underground Infrastructure

We are a neutral, independent and non-profit research institute. We work on solving practical and operational issues concerning underground sewers, pipes and other conduit engineering. Our primary focus is on municipal sewer systems. For the construction, operation and rehabilitation of underground infrastructure facilities, we carry out: ● Research projects ● Material tests and flow measurements ● Comparative product tests ● Consultations ● Seminars, conferences and trainings Our main target group is operators of public and private pipeline networks. Our fields of activity are primarily oriented towards questions and problems of the network operators. We are in constant contact and exchange with urban sewer operators. It is from them that we get the questions we deal with. And we support them with scientifically sound, neutral and independent results of our work. We maintain particularly close contact with urban sewer operators through the “KomNetAbwasser”.
