About IL Group

IL Group, a specialty manufacturer of pressure sensitive adhesive labels and labeling machines for pharmaceutical products, is located in the Aichi prefecture in Japan and was founded in 1962. With over 60 years of experience in the labeling industry, moved to the pharmaceutical label market in 1977 by launching roll tack labels that comply with GMP standards. Early in the 90’s “LPE labels” were developed, which has both light-protection and shockproof functions. With this label, the so called “functional label” was established. IL Group has developed many labels and packaging, adding high value and multiple functions which help pharmaceutical companies and medical staff. With over 50% of the secured market share for labeling in Japan, we provide ample solutions to the pharmaceutical industry throughout the country. Since we produce both labels and labeling machine, we hold a strength in the industry and are able to support and find the perfect fit for all customer’s needs. IL Group continues to cater to unique niches and continues as one of the largest innovative label and labeling machine manufacturers. Now, we are looking beyond Japan’s borders to provide innovative solutions to current needs and problems in the market. Also through the vision and drive of IL Group’s CEO, Masato Iwata, comes the challenge to redefine and strengthen the core of IL Group. Through this vision and by realizing the need for safety and usability and in order to prevent medical errors, functional labelling that greatly helps the medical field is continually being provided and focused on.
