About ILEA Northern California Chapter

The ILEA Northern California Chapter functions as part of ILEA International. WE ARE THE PRINCIPAL ASSOCIATION REPRESENTING THE CREATIVE EVENTS PROFESSIONAL, GLOBALLY The International Live Events Association (ILEA) is comprised of over 7,200 professionals associated among 49 chapters across 38 countries representing special event planners and producers (from festivals to trade shows), caterers, decorators, florists, destination management companies, rental companies, special effects experts, tent suppliers, audio-visual technicians, event and convention coordinators, balloon artists, educators, journalists, hotel sales managers, specialty entertainers, convention center managers, and many more professional disciplines. ILEA provides education and networking to its members to promote professionalism in the special events industry. The 215-members of the Northern California Chapter (established in May 1991), empowers its members to increase their strategic value with education, professional development and business growth opportunities. Leadership of ILEA and ILEA-NCC is organized as follows: Internationally, ILEA is led by a twelve member Board of Directors. This Board communicates with the local chapters via Regional Vice-Presidents, each representing a geographic segment of the United States. Additionally, International Committees assist the Board of Directors in areas such as conference development, membership and education. The ILEA-NCC Board of Directors governs this local chapter and makes all decisions regarding our local educational programs, finances, communication with our members, etc. Elections to this board are held yearly and offer either one or two year positions
