ilera is a patent-pending online social platform that connects individuals who are persevering through similar problems/illnesses. Today, many people dealing with illnesses are isolated, and they do not realize that there are other people in the surrounding community who are dealing with the same illness/problem. ilera creates those peer-to-peer connections that are currently lacking. Users on our platform can join a group. These groups, for example, the "Arthritis Group", are based on geographical area, and each group contains all users in a certain area who are persevering through a particular illness/problem. Users in the group can privately message other group members, schedule in-person meetings with each other, have group discussions about certain treatments, etc. Within the platform, users can also input solutions/treatments that worked for them. These treatments will be displayed to the group in ranked order, based on how many users found each treatment to be useful. Unlike online health forums, this enables greater organization, and it tells users which proposed treatments are most credible.
