About Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities
The Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities is a statewide association of more than 90 community agencies providing services to persons with developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse issues. Our members provide services in more than 900 locations statewide. IARF has member agencies in 58 of 59 Senatorial Districts and 113 of 118 Representative Districts. IARF was formed in the early 1970's by a small group of frustrated rehabilitation professionals. On August 18, 1975, the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in Illinois.
