About Illinois Science Council

We’re an independent, volunteer-driven 501c3 organization that engages, entertains, and educates the adult public about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in our everyday lives. We partner with scientists, institutions, and companies to showcase their research and promote Chicago as the nation’s true “City of Science.” Follow this page to stay up-to-date on opportunities to collaborate and ISC events that are open to the public, including: • Pi Day 3.14-mile Fun Run held every March 14th • Chicago Science Fest, held every May. This is our annual flagship event that includes lectures and interactive demos! ChicagoScienceFest.org • Science Cocktail Party in October/November • Book readings, lectures, hands on Chemistry, movie screenings and more—whether it is learning about the mysteries of dark matter or the science of chocolate, we’ve got you covered.
