About illumiBook Publishing

As a not-for-profit organisation whose goal is to increase literacy through the reading of real books and help develop the love of reading in young children, we invite authors and publishers to contact us to discuss including your children’s illustrated book(s) into the illumiBook Library completely free. The purpose of the library is foremost to provide a reading assistant that narrates the story page by page so that the young child may listen to the words being read as they follow the printed words. With the proven evidence of the benefits of real books over their electronic cousins, our aim is to level the playing field and bring exciting enhancements to the printed book while maintaining the book as the focus. Our offer of inclusion in the Library provides an audio narration of the book to guide the child as they read; additional exposure and options to purchase the books as well as developing extra revenue lines for the authors. illumiBook is not an audio book experience but a reading assistant which has been designed to operate in a supporting role. illumiBook also provides other features but reading the physical book is the prime focus. The illumiBook app may be downloaded and used completely free, unlike many other reading aids available to support children develop their reading skills. The only purchase necessary is for the actual book.
