Image was founded in 1997 in Florence, Italy, as a team of architects and scholars with a passion for communication, narrative, and public relations. Its approach has always been animated by the search of new paths for disseminating architectural design culture. Image has launched and produced contents for a series of extraordinary communication projects, such as arch’it (1995), one of the very first architecture webzines worldwide, the Beyond Media festival (1997), one of the main events worldwide devoted to architecture videos, and The Architecture Player (2015), a place to disclose new architecture stories, through video (www.architectureplayer.com). Over the past 20+ years, Image has fostered cultural collaborations and delivered results for a wide range of clients, including architecture firms, museums, municipalities, cultural events, design brands and more. It consults for institutions in making communication-based architecture competitions, and offers its expertise for consulting services aimed at making the role of architecture in global society more alive. Cultivar (www.cultivar.agency), its latest project started in 2020, has been conceived having at heart the creative development of emerging and established architecture practices, and inspired by a profound understanding of the role of communication of architecture towards global environmental perspectives. Headquartered in Florence with an international reach, Cultivar offers global press relations and strategic media campaigns for the worlds of architecture, construction and design.
