About IMATEQ
IMATEQ is one of the leading locomotive maintenance providers in the European market. This joint venture of Vossloh Rolling Stock and Socofer was created in December 2015. Vossloh Rolling Stock has been building diesel locomotives at the Kiel site in Germany for a hundred years. This experience has been put to good use since 2001 by offering comprehensive services, particularly in the field of diesel traction. Since then, Vossloh Rolling Stock has been successfully operating with its own service and maintenance centres and since 2011 has been cooperating with Socofer, the leading traditional French rolling stock company. Socofer was founded to build rolling stock in the 1960s after the takeover of the Billard company, which had been building railcars since 1920.
