About Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC)
IARC is a community legal centre. We are a non-profit organisation that provides free legal advice to people who are navigating Australia’s immigration system. Our clients include migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum. The people we assist include: • Victim-survivors of domestic and family violence. • People who have received Protection visa refusals or cancellations. • LGBTQIA+ clients facing persecution or discrimination. • Migrant workers experiencing workplace exploitation. • Families and partners separated by borders. IARC is the only CLC in Australia that advises on all immigration, refugee and citizenship matters. We have more than 35 years experience in migration law and policy and leverage our expertise to influence positive change and advocate for reform. Our vision is for Australia’s immigration system to be fair, just and accessible. IARC is funded by the Australian Government, NSW Government and the Public Purpose Fund through the Community Legal Centres Program administered by Legal Aid NSW.
