Impact America activates recent college graduates to address consequences of poverty through health, economic, and education-based initiatives – creating lasting impact in local communities. Our Vision: American communities with real possibilities…where all citizens engage in action for positive change and take responsibility for safeguarding the health, well-being and worth of every individual. Our Programs: In order for our communities and institutions to thrive, we desperately need the talent, vitality, and perspective that only young people can bring. This generation of college students and recent graduates is among the most charitable in American history, with many yearning for an opportunity to make a real difference in their communities. Service with Impact America provides that opportunity through three distinct initiatives that promote change while cultivating leadership. -FocusFirst ensures that children in urban and rural communities receive comprehensive vision care during their crucial formative years. -SaveFirst provides America's hardest-working families with free tax preparation services and meaningful opportunities for savings. -SpeakFirst uses academic debate as a platform to support Birmingham-area high school students and guide them on a path toward excellence in college. Impact America is a nonprofit organization, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. We also have offices in Memphis, TN and Greenville, SC and provide service across the southeast.
