Impact Water provides safe drinking water solutions to over 60,000 partner schools, supporting 25 million students daily. Founded in 2014, Impact Water is a nonprofit organization that has spent the past decade learning how to deliver clean and safe drinking water to students in schools at scale. Why safe water in schools? • Safe drinking water is a Human Right. • 546 million school children worldwide lack basic drinking water services at their schools. • Schools are key intervention points for reaching the most children in a community. • Nearly 1 in 3 schools globally, and 2 in 3 in Africa, lack access to safe drinking water. • Unsafe drinking water harms student health, education, and long-term development. • School safe water programs boost attendance, health, and learning outcomes. Meeting the Need Impact Water has developed low-cost, high-impact solutions that treat contaminated water at the point-of-use in schools. We design, assemble, and install the treatment system, while providing ongoing education on the correct use of the technology and the importance of safe drinking water.
