Imperish is an Egyptian startup focused on building a circular food platform that connects people with local businesses to rescue surplus food before it goes to waste. We partner with bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, and food producers to list unsold but perfectly edible food on our app at discounted prices. Shoppers can browse nearby offers, reserve a surprise bag, and collect it directly from the store. By making redistribution simple and local, Imperish helps people save money, enables businesses to reduce waste and recover value, and makes sustainable choices part of everyday life. In a country where up to 18 million tonnes of food are wasted each year, Imperish is providing a practical solution to a systemic challenge. Since early 2025, we have been building Egypt’s first surplus food marketplace. The platform aligns with national food security priorities and supports progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 12.3. We are not just preventing waste. We are turning excess into access, and food loss into opportunity, one bag at a time.
