About Improving Performance in Practice (iPiP)
Improving Performance in Practice (iPiP) has been in existence for over 20 years. We are a consortium of highly experienced professionals with a track record of successful delivery at a national and international level. Our overall aim is to use our skills, knowledge and tools to support organisations to improve their performance in practice. iPiP Health is a consortium of public health practitioners with a track record of successful delivery at a local, national and international level. The team undertakes a broad range of work including gathering evidence to inform practice, getting evidence into practice and evaluating the impact. The team are especially interested in the impact of organisational culture on practice and using an asset based approach, utilising innovative insights work to engage and co create programmes and services with the target audience. Our key strength is the mix of academic and theoretical knowledge with our experience of supporting the practical implementation of the public health evidence base in a way which is relevant to the local population. iPiP Health hosts the Tobacco Control Collaborating Centre (TCCC), which has become associated with the practical implementation of tobacco control and smoking cessation measures concentrating on getting evidence into practice to reduce harm amongst the most vulnerable groups. The facilitate this! team is dedicated to helping organisations deliver more impactful training and hold effective meetings. They provide skilled facilitators to help get the best out of the time and the people, designing and facilitating meetings, and offer training to develop skills and confidence in the design and facilitation of meetings and training.
