Marcia MacKillop is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Marcia holds two master’s degrees, receiving her training at Rutgers School of Social Work, MSW and Princeton Theological Seminary, M.Div. Since 2012, Marcia has been providing psychotherapy in an outpatient setting with people who suffer from ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, and other family issues that stem from addiction and mental illness. Marcia has over 30 years of experience working with teenagers and families with teenagers in a variety of settings. Marcia works with individuals of all ages, but particularly enjoys working with teens and young adults who are adjusting to life transitions and significant traumas that have affected the family system. She has over 13 year’s experience in the hospital setting working on the adolescent, dual diagnosis, acute psychiatric and involuntary units. This experience was foundational to her training and understanding of how to diagnose, treat and know when psychopharmacological interventions are warranted. In Solidarity Counseling Practice provides a space for the intersection of spiritual and emotional needs. Marcia is not afraid to talk about the love of God and God’s presence amid life’s struggles, lending an important and often neglected perspective in mental health needs and healing. “In Solidarity” implies that the counseling approach is supportive as clients begin to explore their needs without judgment or advice, being with clients during their time of need.
