From ranches in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, instruction rides in Europe, horseback safaris in Africa and riding expeditions to remote and unexplored parts of the world. We are the leading equestrian vacation company in the UK arranging riding holidays for thousands of people each year. In The Saddle was founded on a passion for horse riding and travel. Our consultants are all horse people who combine equine knowledge with a wealth of travel experience. Each person specialises in just a few destinations so they can give you the in depth, up to date information that enables you to choose the ride that matches your budget and riding experience. With riding holidays more so than normal holidays, safety is a critical issue. Your well being is paramount to what we do. That’s why we take the greatest of care, firstly in choosing which overseas riding centres we work with and then in suggesting which rides suit your level of riding and fitness. Each year we produce a Book of World Rides and this is a good starting place when researching riding holidays. The Book, now in its 21st edition, sets out clearly the key features of each ride. Alternatively head straight to the Rides section of the web site, which is packed full of detail about each ride. Both the brochure and website use our unique colour coding system which is a quick guide to ride suitability. Using either you can get an idea of what rides are available that fit your budget and riding experience, and put together a shortlist. In The Saddle works with exclusive agents in Belgium, Denmark, Italy and Norway so residents of those countries can speak directly to their local agent.
