About Indiana Oil and Gas Association

The Indiana Oil and Gas Association (INOGA) has a rich history of involvement in the exploration and development of hydrocarbons in the State of Indiana. INOGA is an all-volunteer organization formed more than 63 years ago. Participating members include representatives from oil and gas exploration and development companies (operators) as well as companies and individuals working in the following sectors: pipeline, refinery, land acquisition, service, supply, legal, engineering and geologic services. INOGA actively represents the upstream segment of Indiana’s oil and gas industry and provides a common forum for this sector. We represent our members in relation to local, state and federal regulation and legislation effecting the industry. The purpose of INOGA is to share ideas and technology, to recognize individual achievements of members, and to serve as a voice in state government. INOGA supports continuing education for its members and awards scholarships to college freshmen seeking degrees in engineering, geology, etc. The Illinois Basin Oil Producers and INOGA are fighting for affordable American energy and jobs for our local economy. It’s time to speak up for our industry – both in the communities where we live and with the policy makers of this great nation!
