About Indie Film Fete

Our event is more than just a film festival! It is an INDIE FILM FETE! We take a holistic approach to the festival experience by providing our audience with : SCREENINGS- We screen a diverse range of short films exploring unique narratives, with an emphasis on showcasing work from the BAME community FILMMAKERS Q&A - A chance to learn and be inspired by the filmmakers and industry professionals in attendance. CREATIVE STALLS- Before, after and during the breaks we offer our audience an opportunity to browse our small business stalls from all communities who focus on self-care, well being, and resources agencies. #IndieFilmFete has been created in partnership with Jess Collett, Kiriem Bello and Tolu Stedford. We are 3 businesswomen with backgrounds in acting, writing, producing, event planning and finance. Our patrons Ellen Thomas and Greta Mendez have over 50 years of experience in the entertainment industry. As filmmakers, we wanted to create an event that celebrates filmmakers on all levels making it a diverse and accessible event. We also wanted to make our event a fun and safe space for our audience to network, grow and be inspired which is why we have our small stallholders in attendance to break the ice and enlighten you with their products and services. Successful applicants will have their films screened at the exclusive Streatham Space Project which will be attended by industry professionals and promoted in many of the arts promotional materials.
