Indigenous Growth Limited (IGL) was founded by Michael Moka in 2013. Previously he was involved in the Executive Education Team at the University of Auckland, Business School. Michael identified a big gap in the market where there wasn’t an organisation prepared to target Indigenous front line workers to succeed as Indigenous people. IGL was created to provide Indigenous people with practical tools to allow them to thrive in whatever area they choose to succeed in while acknowledging and enhancing their Indigenous way of being. Few if any Managers would dispute the fact that “all business comes down to people business.” In the next 20+ years Indigenous people are going to be the majority of the workforce at the grass roots level. This is where IGL is needed. We strive to be the experts in serving and empowering Indigenous people with the mind set to empower themselves to succeed. It is a self-evident fact that better trained and educated workers with the correct attitudes will, when properly managed, add to a company’s or organisations bottom line. We are an Indigenous focused organisation and we adapt our programmes for Indigenous people. We are proud to take into account the physical, mental, spiritual and whanau needs of our people. Our Purpose - To serve and empower Indigenous people to achieve what is important in a consistent manner for them, their whanau, hapu, iwi, nation and globe. - To be an Indigenous focused vehicle to serve Indigenous people and organisations to grow in their chosen field and thrive by enhancing their values. Why we do it - Improve the lives of people that are ‘hungry’ to be better. - Make Aotearoa a better place by ensuring all people can take their chance. - Giving people that we believe in the chance to succeed. - Creating a welcoming environment that is relatable to their cultural needs.
