Indigo Mining Services (IMS) was established in 2011 to create sustainable employment opportunities and improve social outcomes for Indigenous people in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. The IMS team has over 30 years’ experience in the mining and civil earth moving industry, including extensive experience operating a diverse range of machinery. Director, Jordan Bonney is passionate about building and strengthening the family business that was founded by his father, Barron Bonney, to benefit the Traditional Owners of Yilka Country. About Indigo Mining Services Aboriginal owned and operated, IMS provides a range of safe, reliable and cost-efficient contract services to the mining and civil construction industry. The Bonney family are proud Yilka descendants. The small Yilka Aboriginal community, also known as Cosmo Newberry, is located around 1,000 km east of Perth between Laverton and Warburton in the Goldfields-Esperance region of WA. The IMS team seeks to deliver advantages from mining and civil contracts to the broader Indigenous community. We recognise that the success of Indigo Mining Services allows us to support our community and social goals. Our Indigenous labour hire contracts benefit both local communities and employers. We strive to employ local Aboriginal people where possible, and we currently have a 100 per cent Indigenous workforce.
