About Industrial Polymers & Chemicals
Founded in 1959 by Ralph Dacey, Industrial Polymers and Chemicals, Inc. (IPAC) is North America's largest supplier of fiberglass reinforcements to the Abrasives Industry. IPAC specializes in the high accuracy cutting of not only fiberglass but carbon fiber, Kevlar®, plastic and corrugated materials. IPAC’s coating, cutting and kitting capabilities expands its customer base to include the Aerospace, Automotive and Construction Industries. IPAC also markets a wide variety of Powdered Phenolic, Modified Phenolic and Thermosetting Resins for applications in the Abrasives and Friction Materials industries. Still family owned and operated in the United States, Ralph’s daughter Susan Dacey chairs IPAC’s Board of Directors. IPAC has the ability to accept Computer Aided Design (CAD) files for very complex fabric shapes and cut them to very tight tolerances. Typical fabrics include fiberglass, aramids like carbon fiber and Kevlar®, plastic, paper, corrugated materials, and more. We also specialize in combining multiple shapes and sizes into production-ready kits, resulting in reduced production time and cost savings for our customers. Specialty Sewing & Assembly Services IPAC has expanded its specialty cutting services to include Sewing and Assembly. Cutting for Abrasive Wheels Our cutting department is capable of handling pieces up to 84 inches (2133.6mm) in diameter. Our traveling head presses have optimal nesting capabilities, resulting in minimal wasted material while cutting at very high capacity. Our 30-ton press can handle the toughest materials, like our own fiberglass styles 101 and 103, with precision at high capacity. This enables IPAC to keep our own costs low and pass savings along to customers. Contact IPAC for help on your next job.
