About Industrial Welding
Industrial Welding, LLC was originally a small family operation that began in 1946 in Marion, Virginia.In 1951, the operation was expanded to include the production of steel storage tanks for fuel oil and gasoline and, as a result of the company’s growth, a 12,000 square foot facility was built in Atkins, Virginia in 1959. The new plant provided sufficient space for the production of storage tanks, heated asphalt tanks, storage bins and other fabricated steel products. Market demand led the company to diversify into shop fabrication and erection of field tanks during the mid-60s. The addition to the company’s portfolio allowed the production facility to be expanded to almost 33,000 square feet. In November 2023, the company was acquired by Greg Sanders, a Southwest Virginia native with more than 25 years of experience in technology driven industry leadership and executive management. Greg is excited to lead the company’s growth and assure stability for future generations by expanding support for the precast concrete plant and ASME pressure vessel markets.
